Webinar Marketing with Social Media
23 September 2019

Webinars are the cost effective alternative available for in-person meetings and allows firms to increase their reach to large target audiences. Webinars  help nurture existing relationships, generate leads, drive sales, etc.

Today, many online businesses completely rely on webinars for reaching their target audience, brand recognition and generating new leads. Hosts can make use of social media to engage clients during the webinar itself.

Social media provides the best platform to share your webinar, gain more leads, increase net registrations and signups for your webinar. Social media allows you to extend conversations after the event, as well.

Facebook:

  • If your business has a group on Facebook, make use of this group to post specifics of the event along with the link to the registration page. Use your company profile to promote this by updating statuses related to it.
  • Make sure that your team members regularly update posts related to the webinar, so your audience will remain connected with the event. Encourage your audience, so they become the part of the conversation.
  • Embed your event’s recording on your official page, so your clients and fans can view and comment on it.

Twitter:

  • It is one of the best ways to get followers to your event. Encourage people to tweet their views and questions related to the webinar. Make sure you monitor the conversation and reply promptly.
  • At the signup or registration process, ask registrants to give their twitter handle and other contact information, so you can monitor what they are saying about your firm.
  • Don’t forget to include twitter hash tags in pre and post emails sent to your participants, and encourage them to do the same.

LinkedIn:

  • You can share your upcoming events and webinar plans with your LinkedIn connections and groups. Post messages in your status, so your connections can learn about your webinar and register.
  • You can also give a preview of your webinar on LinkedIn along with a blog around it, instead of directly promoting the webinar. You can also create sponsored updates and standalone ads to advertise on LinkedIn.
  • Ask your connections to join the webinar and recommend it in their network, so you can gain more signups. Keep your audience connected to your events through regular posts and updates.

Google+:

  • Webinar helps generate a massive following for your brand, and Google+ enables you to host on hangout for free.
  • You can efficiently customize your webinar page through available event themes, or by uploading videos associated with the webinar to gather more participants.
  • You can invite people manually using the Invite more button under the Viewers section, which can be found at the bottom right of the page.

The tips above help easily market your webinar through various social media platforms.
